[Invited Talk] Adaptive Service Composition under Functional and Quality Diversity

(in English) There have very active efforts on the service composition problem to construct a new service by selecting from many available services. One of the most significant topics is QoS-aware service composition that deals with constraint satisfaction and optimization of quality, such as execution time and availability. On the other hand, there were strong limitations toward a holistic solution that handle functional aspects such as service compatibility, network quality and adaptation to runtime faults. This talk introduces a study on adaptive service composition that deals with functional and quality diversity. We defined models to keep relationships between services about functions or locations to enable fast computation such as analysis of service alternatives. In addition, we defined a holistic service composition problem by widely extending the existing QoS-aware service composition and provided an efficient solution by incorporating the service relationship models into evolutionary computing methods.
