We investigate the PLC-based 2-mode multi/demuliplexer using wavefront matching method based on 3D scalar finite element beam propagation method. Asymmetry directional coupler is optimized with multiple wavelengths simultaneously to overcome the problem caused by wavelength dependence of coupling length. Also, it is shown that designing a low-loss and broadband multi/demultiplexer is feasible. |
