Miniaturization of a high impedance antenna for energy harvesting applications

(in English) In order to improve rectifier efficiency of the terminals of sensor networks, we investigate a high-impedance wideband folded dipole antenna (FDA), and try to reduce the size of the antenna. Miniaturization of the antenna with bent arms is studied and a card-type FDA (CFDA) is proposed as a design example. Furthermore, we measured digital TV reception power levels of 3 channels in Tokyo area by using the prototype CFDA. As the results, measured reception power level of -19.7 ~dBm (10.7~$mu$W) was obtained at 9 km away from the digital TV broadcasting tower.
