Input UI Specification Recovery using Web Operation Monitoring

(in English) In development and operation of enterprise system, it is important to understand specifications of existing system. Obsolescent documents of the system require large number of person-hours for specification recovery by hand. In this report, we propose a method to extract screen transition diagrams and definitions of screen items as UI specifications from logs. The method analyzes logs of user operations and information of HTML documents which collected on web browsers using web monitoring techniques. Our experimental result shows that the method recovers correct specifications as far as we can collect logs on target system, and the person-hours of specification recovery is reduced by 66%.
