A consideration on performance evaluation of linear/rectangular array LOS-MIMO systems

(in English) LOS-MIMO (Line Of Sight - Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) systems can increase a channel capacity without increasing the frequency bandwidth. The conventional LOS-MIMO system utilizes two transmitting antennas and two receiving antennas, and the channel capacity becomes double by controlling geometric arrangements of each antenna. In this report, we discuss a generalized LOS-MIMO system. We formulize a channel matrix for one/two dimensional arrangements for an arbitrary number of transmitting/receiving antennas, and then, we derive a signal separation method by using an inverse matrix of the channel matrix. Performance evaluations are conducted for AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) environments.The proposed signal separation method is applicable to variou LOS-MIMO systems.
