Increasing the number of receive antennas at mobile stations (MSs) helps us to improve the reliability of the downlink multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) transmission due to the increment of the diversity order. However, the number of receive antennas will be limited to MSs because they will be preferable to remain small size.Collaborative interference cancellation (CIC) and digital radio over higher-frequency radio (RoHR) have been proposed to increase the number of receive antennas virtually by sharing received frames at MSs in the vicinity each other using a higher frequency band. The received signal is quantized at each MS and is delivered with the higher frequency band so that the reliability of space filtering may suffer from the quantization error and the detection error with the higher frequency band for the receive signal. In this manuscript, we evaluate the decoding performance of space filtering when MIMO-OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) is employed as the downlink transmission and the digital RoHR broadcasting in time domain and frequency domain. |
