Low-Latency Transport Protocol for Multipath Networks

(in English) Tactile Internet has been proposed that human tactile perception is transmitted through networks. The network latency is required in the order of milliseconds in Tactile Internet. However, current transport protocols like TCP cannot satisfy such a strict condition because they cause more than 100ms latency due to its retransmission and congestion control mechanisms. In this paper, we propose novel transport protocol for low-latency communication in multipath networks that a user equipment can be used in mobile and fixed networks simultaneously. We evaluate the proposed transport protocol in comparison with Multipath TCP in terms of packet delivery time through network simulation.
