(in English) We investigated estimation accuracy of vocal tract shape in extraction method of vocal tract area function (VTAF). We compared two VTAFs that were calculated from STRAIGHT spectra of real speech of Japanese vowels and transfer function generated by FDTD simulation for 3D vocal tract shapes reconstructed from MRI data of Japanese vowels. As a result, the shapes of two VTAFs were similar in Japanese vowel /i/, while they do not similar in other Japanese vowel phonemes.
