The idea of using jQuery general logic and its concept of chains as a natural language processing environment has been proposed by this author a couple of years ago. The comeback for this idea has become possible in view of the recent advances in Big Data processing, also part of this author's research. The Big Data Replay method has been proposed as an alternative to Hadoop. The replay logic -- Big Data is actually replayed along the timeline -- makes it possible to write jobs as streaming algorithms, which helps not only with the statistical rigidity, but also with accountability/trustworthiness of the outcome. This paper discusses the missing link in this package, which is a language/interpreter/optimizer for writing and running such jobs. jQuery is back on the table, its selectors and functions mapped to data filters, time window management, and other functions required by a generic streaming algorithm. This paper discusses the early stage of both the jQuery syntax and its interpretation technology. |
