Multiple Temporal Resolution Imaging for High Quality - High Dynamic Range Video Reconstruction

(in English) In this paper, we propose a multiple temporal resolution imaging for high quality-high dynamic rage (HDR) video reconstruction. Capturing high quality-HDR video is required various image properties, such as dynamic range, signal to noise ratio (S/N), and temporal resolution. In conventional HDR video imaging, however, satisfying all of image properties is challenging because of the trade-off between them. In contrast, by using different temporal resolutions for each pixel, the proposed imaging can capture low dynamic range videos that have multiple exposure information, high S/N information and high temporal resolution. Therefore, high quality-HDR video having high S/N and high temporal resolution can be reconstructed from captured LDR videos, by taking advantage of the spatiotemporal correlation. Moreover, we show the effectiveness of proposed imaging by evaluating quality of reconstructed HDR video using peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR).
