There are approximately 30 million visually impaired people in Japan. Their jobs are usually a massager or an
administrative work. Especially for the administrative work, it is necessary to gain their IT skills. To study the skills, they often
go to a kind of living support centers for the visually impaired people. However, there are only a few support centers and also
the centers are mostly around the metropolitan area so there is a disparity among regions. Therefore, we construct a study support
system on their study of IT skills. The system will help visually impaired people to study even though they are at home. In
addition, it will also support the supporters to implement comfortable support for visual impaired. The system consist of a study
support WEB site and applications to study basic computer skills. |
