Several Gbps wireless communication could be realized with 9 GHz unlicensed bandwidth in 60 GHz. However large area FFT is required for image calibration. In the proposed technique, instead of using FFT, the image is down-converted to DC, so layout area can be shrinked. According to the measurement results, the proposed transmitter achieves -27.9 dB EVM with automatic calibration, and 10.56 Gbps could be achieved in 64QAM. Compared with conventional circuit, area of calibration circuit is reduced by 85%. |
