Consideration on Microstrip Line Array Antenna in 60GHz Bands

(in English) The vertical strip transmission line primary radiator was proposed for use in array antenna systems, and the usefulness was confirmed at 60 GHz. In this paper, an array antenna consisting of microstrip transmission line primary radiators instead of the vertical strip transmission line primary radiator was considered from the viewpoint of circuit integration. At first, the return loss characteristics as well as the radiation patterns was calculated as a function of the length of the microstrip transmission line. From the calculated results, the optimum length was decided. Next, the microstrip transmission line primary radiators were set so as to be arrayed. And finally, reflection characteristic of each primary radiator and the radiation characteristics of the array antenna were calculated by changing the phases at these primary radiators.
