Study of Transmission Line Method of A Microstrip Line placed on Ground Slot

(in English) Recently,printed circuit board with multi-layer are increasing since advanced technology makes electronic circuits high-density.Then,a number of via to connect each layer are used and slots are put on a ground.The existence of slots are issues for circuit designs in future.There is the Multi-Transmission Line Method which can calculate with short time as analysis method of transmission line.It is important to consider the effects of slots in the MTL method.In this paper,we analyzed the transmission characteristic of a microstrip line with a slot on a ground in PCB using MTL method and FDTD method.We derived the characteristic impedance of the microstrip line with the slot using FDTD method and applied it to the analysis of the MTL method and showed that the results of the MTL method are tend to the FDTD results.
