Power delay profile (PDP) is one of the key indicators for designing wireless systems and previous researches has shown that Sabine’s acoustic equation under total diffuse scattering scenarios provides a simplified model to predict the PDP inside rooms. However, inaccuracy can be seen for predictions within early reflections region. In this study, we proposed a method to use the in-room PDP model by Holloway that uses mean-free path to calculate power after multiple reflections, to predict delay profile within that region and combine with Sabine’s method to provide an overall indoor PDP prediction. |
