Electromagnetic Field Simulation Approach for Propagation Characteristics on Intrabody Communication
Kazuhiro Inoue, Takafumi Ohishi (Toshiba) SRW2015-66
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The Basic characteristics of intrabody communication using electric fields on the surface of the human body have been explained by equivalent circuits or quasi-electrostatic approximation methods. However, the propagation characteristic which cannot be explained by these approximation techniques sometimes occurs by electrodes arrangement and a surrounding environment of a human body. In this report, the propagation characteristic is elucidated by an electromagnetic field simulation when using practical small electrodes. When arranging measuring equipment near the electrodes, we clarify the influence of the measuring equipment exerted on propagation characteristics.
