Prototype and its characteristics of cellular polypropylene microphone for ultrasound waves

(in English) Ultrasound diagnosis has become popular in recent years, it is then important to specifically recognize the sound pressure of a high-frequency ultrasound wave in the observation point using airborne ultrasound sensors. In this report, a new type of a small microphone was developed using cellular polypropylene electret film with elec- tromechanical conversion performance much higher than the conventional piezoelectric materials such as PZT. It has been shown that the developed prototype microphone has a high potential for receiving ultra wide-band sound waves from several kHz to at least 400 kHz.
