A Frequency Synchronization Scheme for Time Varying Doppler-shift Compensation using the Direct Return Signal

(in English) In this paper, a frequency synchronization scheme between platforms for a bistatic SAR is described. The proposed scheme uses the direct return signal to compensate a time varying Doppler-shift. the Doppler-shift of a transmitted reference signal of a PLL is simulated by the direct return signal. By comparing the reference signal with a feedback signal added to the simulated Doppler-shift, these Doppler-shift can be cancelled out. Hence, the synchronization error due to the variation of the Doppler-shift can be suppressed. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme achieves frequency synchronization between the platforms under the time varying Doppler-shift.
