Antenna Arrangement Suitable for MIMO Full-Duplex -- Experimental Evaluation of Interference Reduction Effect Using Prototype Antenna --

(in English) In this report, we discuss an interference reduction technique using a multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) antenna arrangement and an eigen-beamforming suitable for a space division duplex(SDD) relay which realizes a full duplex communication by separating transmitter(Tx) and receiver(Rx) in relay stations. A proposed technique degenerates a rank of an interference channel matrix to one by an antenna arrangement in relay stations, and Tx and Rx arrays use the null space weights. This scheme offers a significant interference suppression whereas this consumes only one degree of freedom for the interference suppression. As an antenna arragement achieving the above scenario, we propose an end-fire arrangement, where the Tx and Rx linear array antennas are arranged with the same element spacing in line. In the case of Line-of-Sight(LOS) environment, this arrangement degenerates a rank of the interference channel matrix. The results of the numerical analysis and experiment show the proposed method can achieve the interference reduction by up to 71.6 dB.
