The automatic segmentation method of the MR image is mandatory to construct attenuation correction data for the clinical PET/MRI scan. In the previous study, we have proposed the method to generate attenuation correction data from the diagnostic pelvic T1-weighted image. In this study, the proposed method was fully automated and the impact of the automation was evaluated by the simulation of the prostate cancer PET. Although the automation of the proposed method slightly degraded the accuracy to segment bone and soft tissues, the radioactivity of prostate region was not affected by the automation. |
