A disaster prevention broadcasting system based on audio data hiding using complete complementary codes has been proposed. This system can be extended to a generic public audio announcement system such as business districts or shopping malls with data hiding technique. However, it has been pointed out that it is quite difficult for the system to extract the embedded information bits exactly in realistic situations. One of the reason of this problem is a kind of multipath effects in indoor scenario. In this study, it is a primal objective to avoid the multipath effect during the transmission through the communication channel from a loud speaker to the receiver microphone. In the present study, we consider embedding the information bits in high frequency regions of the cover audio signals, applying CDMA system using complete complementary codes to avoid the multipath effects, and shortening the sequence length of the embedded signals. As a result, it has been confirmed that we had better to embed the information bits into the real part of the frequency factors of the cover signals into the high frequency regions by employing the complete complementary codes with shorter length through computer simulations and experiments using a loud speaker and a microphone under the indoor scenario. |
