On the user channel instability of the localized SC-FDMA over doubly selective channels

(in English) For the localized SC-FDMA operating under fast multipath fading environment,
linear equalizers are known to perform poorly.
In this report, we introduce the term,
the user channel instability (UCI),
to describe such a behavior of the user channel
and propose a stochastic model which may explain
the stochastic mechanism causing UCI.
Furthermore, we consider the role of the data-domain and
frequency-domain guards in terms of the UCI
and multiaccess interference (MAI),
and show that appropriately designed guards can reduce
the bit-error rate (BER) degradation even at the presence of UCI.
