In surgical planning of total hip arthroplasty(THA), changes in the pelvic flexion angle from supine to standing position is the important factor which has an influence on the optimum installation angle of the hip implant. Measurement of the pelvic flexion on a large-scale cohort from the X-ray projection images may provide useful information for THA planning. The purpose of this study is to measure the pelvic flexion from an X-ray projection image and a CT image using the 2D-3D registration method. In this paper, we report an evaluation result of our registration algorithm on 49 patients. |
