| (in English) | Embracing uncertainty in software development is one of the crucial research topics in software engi- neering. In this paper, we classify the definition of uncertainty and clarify what kind uncertain concerns appear in a real project. We use commit comments in the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) open source project as the data set of this preliminary study. We address the following three research questions: RQ1) What kind of Source of Uncertainty do ordinary applications contain?; RQ2) Is the possibility of bug occurrences high in case of commits with uncertainty?; and RQ3) What kind of difficulties do developers face to deal with uncertainty? From the observation from this preliminary analysis, we found that most uncertain concerns in the real applications are categorized as Known-Unknowns and the possibility of bugs is high in case of commits including uncertainty keywords. | |
