| 抄録 | （和） | In a wireless local-area network (WLAN) system, redundant access-points (APs) can cause performance degradations and energy wastages. On the other hand, heavily-loaded APs can suffer from insufficient communication quality. Thus, a WLAN system is expected to be adaptive and elastic to the traffic load in the network. For this purpose, we have proposed the elastic WLAN system and studied the architecture and functions. In this paper, we present the model and the implementation of the elastic WLAN system for real networks using Linux PCs. By using Linux commands, this system collects necessary information for the AP aggregation algorithm to determine the activation/deactivation of APs. Then, it controls the active APs and the associations of hosts based on the algorithm output. We evaluate the functions and performance of this system using a simple testbed. |
