In the consensus problem based on wireless communications, several constraint conditions, i.e., communication coverage, rate, and/or delay, should be considered. Individual agents know the position of all neighbor agents which are located in communication coverage. By using this fact, this paper proposes to control the transmission power for the purpose of saving power consumption. We further propose an elastic transmission power control method which can achieve the same consensus quality as the case without power-saving. Finally, we discuss the combination of the embed amplifiers for efficiently power-saving but keeping consensus quality. Computer simulations reveal that the proposed power control can reduce the power consumption by 1/6 without the degradation of consensus quality. |
