Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Finite resources have been consumed in advanced societies which accompany economic growth. It has been uncertain if the long-life products are accepted from consumers in mass-consumption societies. According to the viewpoint of circulation of money in markets, the short-life products are more favorable than the long-life ones in the sense that the consumers replace a purchased item with another many times. It is very difficult to investigate whether the lifespan of products has the effect on the replacement of the purchased item, because multiple factors are complicatedly related in it. In this study, we constructed a multi-agent simulation (MAS) model on the artificial market, and considered the effect of the lifespan of products on the agents' consumption behaviors.
