Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) From the theory of iterated function system (IFS), the bivariate fractal interpolation surface (or BFIS) method is developed. In applications of BFIS in terms of IFS, vertical scaling factors in IFS are important one which characterizes a fractal feature of surfaces constructed. This report provides a lemma, and two theorems for a constructive BFIS with an individual vertical scaling factor. Further, the examples of higher resolution reconstructions from low resolution images are illustrated.
