High Power transmitter for X band SAR system on Small satellite

(in English) We are now developing subsystems in order to put our X-band Synthetic Aperture Radar system for 100kg class small satellite. In this paper, our developing high power transmitter, which is important not only for SAR system but also whole satellite design, is reported. We designed a 1000W class solid state power amplifier (SSPA) and conducted experiments, and we obtained good results. In addition, leakage of RF power is inevitable problem for Radar system which has both transmitter and receiver inside it. We are now trying to overcome this problem without any performance degradation by using GaN-LNA and sequential controlled power supply.
