Split-ring Resonator Antennas Closely Arranged for High-speed MIMO Communication

(in English) Miniaturizations of recent wireless equipment which have a plurality of antenna elements for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) communication requires compact antennas being able to be arranged close to each other. We have reported compact antenna elements on circuit boards consisting of split-ring resonator (SRR) used as a radiator. In this report, we offered MIMO antennas which can be designed on limited area in wireless equipment by consisting of compact SRR antenna elements closely arranged. We studied channel capacity of compact MIMO antennas which we offered and confirmed that these MIMO antennas can achieve the same channel capacity as conventional MIMO antennas when arranged closer to each other than conventional ones and are suited to small MIMO antenna system.
