To observe wave motion and wind on the sea, Mini-lidar was developed with LED light module. The power LED of the pulsed power of 0.75W( pulse width 11ns) was selected as lidar light source. Its divergence was 10mrad, while the receiver’s field of view was <5mrad. This setup accomplished robustness for rough optical alignment. We also developed the high-speed photon counter to catch the sea wave motion of 0.1 – 1Hz. Its repetition frequency is 500kHz and the spatial resolution is 1ns (=0.15m). This report states the specification of LED mini-lidar for sea wave measurement and its observation results on shallow angle. |
