Automatic correctness judgment of handwritten answers to descriptive questions by handwriting recognition

(in English) When handwriting recognition is applied to mark handwritten answers for descriptive questions, not only correct answers must be marked correct but also incorrect answers must be marked as incorrect. Conventional handwriting recognition methods employ word dictionaries or linguistic contexts to increase recognition rates of handwritten text, but they may recognize slightly incorrect answers as correct. Therefore, we propose to combine word-dictionary-based recognition, context-based recognition and handwriting recognition without any of them to recognize handwritten answers in order to recognize correct answers as correct and incorrect answers as incorrect as much as possible.
