Capacity and Coverage Optimization Considering Guaranteed Bandwidth Service with Heterogeneous Wireless Access Systems

(in English) In recent years, the amount of wireless traffic is drastically increasing due to widespread mobile terminals. As a technology to overcome this situation, Self Organizing Network (SON) receives much attention. It improves the performance of cellular networks by automatic configuration, optimization and healing. On the other hand, mobile users tend to have not only conventional best effort communications but also guaranteed QoS communications since multimedia services require strict QoS. In this paper, we suppose Best Effort (BE) users and Guaranteed Bit Rate (GBR) users. To ensure the QoS, we adopt call admission control for GBR users. Then, we propose an enhanced capacity and coverage optimization method to reduce the call blocking probability of GBR users and increase the throughput of BE users.
