It is an important technology that Cloud services are migrated to a
remote data center in order to achieve Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
for IT services.
The FELIX project has been developing a testbed federating distributed
multiple data centers, called SDN islands.
FELIX applies NSI and GRE for transit network connected between
different SDN islands.
In this study, we perform IaaS migration over the EU-Japan FELIX
federated testbed and NSI-enabled network.
The experimental results show that IaaS migration in a low latency
environment performs high-speed migration,
while communication optimization achieves 10-minute IaaS migration in
a high latency environment. |
