(in English) Deaf or hard-of-hearing persons cannot obtain disaster information which is generally transmitted by sound broadcast in large private areas such as universities, companies or commercial facilities. Hence they cannot start evacuation behavior due to not obtaining emergent information when a disaster has occurred. In this paper, we describe a disaster information transmission experiment for deaf or hard-of-hearing students in disaster drill of Tsukuba University of Technology at which they are studying. According to survey responses by students, communication tools with push type information transmission are suitable for them, and scripts of sound broadcast and premises diagrams pointing to disaster place and refuge area are effective. Moreover, quick and accurate disaster information acquisition increases their awareness of the need for disaster behavior.
