A Support Method for Designing GUI Consistent with Screen Transition Model

(in English) The proper cooperations between UI designers and function designers is important to enhance usability although the function designers often decide screens and input items in enterprise GUI application development. However, there is no method of sufficiently supporting both of following aspects: development process in which the UI designers can easily participate in UI decision; ensuring the consistency between function design and GUI design. In this research, a method and support tool of GUI design are proposed in order to efficiently ensure the consistency between function design and GUI design eventually even if each of function designers and UI designers improves a screen transition model and GUI separately. As the result of evaluation by applying the proposed method and a traditional GUI programming technique to a virtual library system, the proposed method was useful to design GUI consistent with its screen transition model efficiently by comparing with the traditional technique.
