L5-path: A Session Layer Protocol on ZNA, a New Generation Network Architecture

(in English) Current Internet architecture adopts Five-layer model, but many extensions have been added in unsuitable formats for the basic architecture. Therefore, it is said that current Internet architecture needs to be re-created. Some high functional communication paths like Multipath, Middlebox and DTN(Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking) has been implemented on current Internet architecture, but, in fact, some of them are Layer Violation techniques or have been designed for one specific purpose. It means that they destroy the layered system or are poor at lexibility. In this paper, the fifth layer defined on ZNA(Z Network Architecture), which has Six-layer model, are implemented in the user land. This paper shows that the fifth layer keeps the layered system and provides some high functional communication paths selectively depending on the situation, and concepts in the paths perform in low overhead by evaluations.
