Enhancement of Live Streaming Performance and Mobility in Data Oriented Network (NDN)

(in English) Named Data Network (NDN) is a typical example of Date Oriented Network. Although NDN is suitable for live streaming owing to its built-in multicast property, there is inefficiency of repeating the request and delivery for each packet. To mitigate this inefficiency, Persistent Interest (PI) capable of receiving multiple data packets with one request (interest) packet have been proposed. However, there is a problem that the mobility is lost with PI. This paper proposes a method to realize efficient live delivery without compromising the mobility caused by using PI. By simulation, we show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
