Image Denoising via Local Wiener Filtering

(in English) In this paper, we propose the improved wiener filtering denoising method. In conventional wiener filter, whole image is transformed with discrete-fourier-transform (DFT) and wiener filtering coefficient is multiplied. In contrast, in our method, we pick up local region from target image and transform it with DFT. Then, since wiener filter creates artifacts, we remove artifacts using bilateral filter. We compare performance of the proposed method to bilateral filter and BM3D, which is the state-of-the-art non-local denoising method, and show that the proposed method has sufficient performance for local method and its simplicity.
