[Special Talk] Valuation of a Transmitting Antenna or Spacetenna in a Solar Power Satellite and its Development Strategy
Tadashi Takano (Nihon Univ.) WPT2015-84
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this presentation, first, the importance of a transmitting antenna (spacetenna) is clarified in a solar power satellite which is the core of a solar power generation system in space. Then the history of a spacetenna is viewed, and it will be shown that research work has not been done sufficiently in this field. I will present technical issues to be solved, and the relevant study results are explained, which are mainly accomplished by the author and his colleagues. Finally, the strategy of the spacetenna development will be proposed.
