A Seamless Operation Technique for Tiled Display Wall Using A Tablet Device

(in English) Recently,Tiled Display Walls (TDW) attract attention for visualizing large, complicated data.
A TDW is a huge display consisting of multiple display units and driven by multiple computers.
A TDW has a number of operational problems due to its size and unique system configurations.
For example, a user has to physically move frequently and the conventional mouse and keyboard are difficult to use while standing in front of the TDW.
In this article, proposed is a tablet based operation technique for TDWs.
By using VNC connections to each of the display nodes simultaneously, it enables to view and control any region of the TDW.
Experimental results show that our technique yields better comfort and comparable performance compared to an operation style with a wireless mouse and keyboard.
