Proposal of high-resolution video transmission method through virtual multiple paths dynamically configured with OpenFlow switches

(in English) We have proposed the method, called ``Dynamic SDN'', which enables to configure virtual paths over shared IP networks, which have enough available bandwidth, using OpenFlow switches. This method enables to configure and reconfigure overlaid virtual path dynamically with shorter configuration time than that of existing SDN technologies. We have already proved that we could reconfigure virtual paths using this method during uncompressed HD transmission experiment with no interruption in SC14 last year. In this paper, we propose transmission method for higher resolution video, called UHD, than current HD video through dynamically configured multiple virtual paths existing shared IP network. We performed delivering 6.6-Gbit/s uncompressed 4K video stream, which was divided into 4 partial video streams spatially, through four dynamically configured virtual paths on actual R&E network from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Austin, US during SC15.
We confirmed we could playback the uncompressed 4K video through four individual virtual paths that had different physical routes and traveling time.
