Dimension Estimation of Topological Manifolds based on Measure of Simplexes and Application to Manifold Learning

(in English) Dimension reduction is one of the most important issues in machine learning and computational intelligence for reduction of computational complexity and extraction of intrinsic manifold structure. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for dimension estimation of topological manifold based on simplicial measures. Moreover we apply the method to data with nontrivial topology and images of handwritten digits with known deforming dimensions and compare it with local PCA.
