[Poster Presentation] A Study on Feedforward ANC System Using FPGA

(in English) Feedforward active noise control (ANC) system can reduce various noise such as the broad-band noise by getting the noise at the reference microphone. However, it is difficult to reduce noise arriving from various directions because the correlation between reference and error microphones becomes weak. To solve this problem, the distance between reference and error microphones should be shortened, but the causality constraint must be overcome. In the general DSP systems, the causality constraint may not be able to be overcome because of the limitation of the computation time. Hence, the feedforward ANC system using FPGA has been proposed in order to improve the computation time. In this paper, we apply the FPGA realization to a head-mounted ANC system with feedforward structure and demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed ANC system through some experiment results.
