For light sources of broadband FM-CW radars in terahertz frequency region, structure-designed periodically poled lithium niobates (PPLNs) were used to generate frequency-chirped multi-cycle THz wave pulses. By using THz time domain spectroscopy, linearly-chirped multi-cycle THz wave pulses at center frequency of 1.5 THz with bandwidth of 1 THz were demonstrated. |
