A Load Balancing Algorithm for Layer 2 Routing based Wireless Smart Utility Network

(in English) To realize an intelligential society, Wireless Smart Utility Networks (Wi-SUN) have been introduced in various fields. These systems should be operated with only battery for a long time. To meet these requirements, hierarchical mesh networking protocol for power saving devices has being standardized in IEEE 802.15.10 task group, but an improper method of selecting the next-hop terminals will make transmission opportunity uneven. As a result, some devices use a lot of energy, therefore the costs for maintenance of the network will increase. In this paper, a low-power-consumed load balancing algorithm for multi-hop mesh networks is proposed. Computer simulations are carried out and it would be found that the proposed method is valid in load balancing systems for multi-hop mesh networks.
