3D Finite Difference Time Domain Analysis of Lighthill Equaition

(in English) In this paper, aerodynamic sound is numerically analyzed based on the Lighthill equation
by the three-dimensional finite difference time domain (FDTD) method.
Firstly, a simple model that the Lighthill tensor is exist only in a minute space is assumed, then the theoretical equation of the model is obtained for validation. It is confirmed that the FDTD solutions well agree with the theoretical results. A more actual model that the aerodynamic sound is radiated from the jet emitted by a nozzle is then considered. It is found that the numerical results show typical characteristics of the aerodynamic sound from jet.
