Recently, the application of millimeter and terahertz waves to high speed wireless communication and sensing field attracted much attention. Although there are many methods for generating high-frequency electromagnetic waves, we focused on the technique that uses a two-wavelength laser. Previously we achieved the stable two-wavelength lasing by using semiconductor quantum dots gain chip and the etalon filter. In this report, we tried to change the frequency separation continuously, in the two-wavelength laser for the 90GHz band millimeter-wave generation using the calcite etalon filter as a birefringence material. |
