A CC Selection Method in Advanced C-RANs
Takashi Satake (NTT) RCS2016-51
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the Carrier Aggregation(CA) method in Advanced C-RAN networks, in which macro-cell Component Carrier(CC)s can add their CC to other small-cell CC, there is a problem that QoE degradation of macro-cell UE will occur, without any traffic control policies, affected by heavy small-cell UE traffic. Most previous studies only treated fair packet scheduling policies with respect to data rate on each CC, without considering QoE. In this paper, a CC selection method for priority traffic control in the CA in Advanced C-RAN networks, what can reserve CC resources for UE who can use only macro-cell CC, will be presented. Numerical evaluation approximated by the circuit reservation modeling on queueing theory is also presented.
