Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling is one of the approaches that improve spectrum efficiency by transmitting symbols faster than the Nyquist rate at the expense of inter-symbol interference (ISI) and inter-subcarrier-interference (ICI).Thus, it is necessary to remove the ISI and ICI at a receiver.
In this paper, an interference canceller based on belief propagation is applied in FTN signaling using OFDM/QPSK in SISO environments. In addition, we use the node selection (NS) to reduce performance degradation due to short loops. The NS, however, induces a phenomenon that past LLR values are masked by newer LLR values and thus the proper convergence may not be
achieved. Here, we propose a technique scaling the LLR depending on SINR to prevent masking and compare the BER performance with the conventional methods. The simulation results show that the scaling method provides the best BER performance.
